Menasha struck early and never relinquished the lead in a 9-5 victory over Greenville. The Macs exploded for three runs in the first inning when Jack Anzelmo cleared the bases with a two-out, three-run double. Menasha added three more runs in the third, highlighted by Ayden Kanaman’s RBI double and Connor Olson’s run-scoring single, before extending the lead to 6-2 in the fifth on Kanaman’s RBI triple. The Macs put the game away in the seventh when Colin Nigl and Evan Olson singled before Anzelmo delivered a two-run single to make it 8-2, and Menasha added another run in the ninth on Anzelmo’s sacrifice fly. Greenville scored twice in the fourth, including a run that came home on a walk and stolen bases by Benny Kiefer, then added three runs in the ninth on Joe Fischer’s three-run homer. Anzelmo finished with six RBIs, going 3-for-5 with a double, a two-run single, and a sacrifice fly. Kanaman added a double, triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored, while Olson collected four hits. Fischer led Greenville offensively, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, and three RBIs. Owen Ripley earned the win, allowing two runs over six innings while striking out eight, and Colin Nigl worked the final three innings to secure the victory.
