Appleton struck early with a four-run second inning and held off Greenville for a 5-3 win.

Appleton struck early with a four-run second inning and held off Greenville for a 5-3 win. Evan Olson and Alex Hanneman each delivered run-scoring doubles, while Nick Terrell added two hits and two RBIs to pace the offense. Theo Zeidler earned the win with five solid innings, and Ben Hampton closed it out for the save. Appleton stole four bases and turned a double play to back the pitching staff. Greenville spread out six hits and got RBIs from Chayce Schultz, Turner Kuhnke, and Jake Lucas but couldn’t overcome the early deficit.
The Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League is a top-tier, wooden bat, adult semi-professional baseball league located in northeastern Wisconsin. Players in the league are considered amateur status, are not paid and consist mostly of current college baseball players, as well as former college and professional players.
