Brett Sommer drove in five runs on five hits to lead the Greenville Stars to a 14-9 victory over the Appleton Legends on Friday. Sommer’s performance included two singles and a triple. Despite trailing 6-2 after the first inning, the Stars turned the game around with a 10-run fifth inning, highlighted by Sommer’s three-run single. Trent Feucht started for the Stars, allowing six runs over one inning, while Blake Wallenfang pitched four innings for the Legends, giving up two unearned runs. Greenville’s offense amassed 12 hits, with Ethan Peters collecting two, while Appleton’s Alex Hanneman and Carson Krumrei each had two hits and two RBIs.
