Menasha Grabs Lead in Eighth Inning to Defeat Green Bay

Menasha defeated Green Bay 4-1 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with Menasha batting in the bottom of the eighth when Sam Hawley doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Menasha defeated Green Bay 4-1 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with Menasha batting in the bottom of the eighth when Sam Hawley doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Green Bay got things started in the second inning. Michael Larsen singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Menasha knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning, when Adam Grambow singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Hunter Barber was the winning pitcher for Menasha. He lasted nine innings, allowing eight hits and one run while striking out six and walking one.

Zach Watzka took the loss for Green Bay. He surrendered four runs on ten hits over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

The Macs tallied 11 hits. Ryan HinskeBrandon Beauchamp, and Hawley each collected multiple hits for MenashaHinske led Menasha with three hits in four at bats.

Green Bay totaled eight hits in the game. Brad Szymusiak and Watzka all had multiple hits for the Storm.
