Appleton Legends nabbed the lead late in the game in a 4-1 victory over Menasha Macs on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Appleton Legends batting in the bottom of the sixth when Matt Baehmansingled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Menasha Macs opened up scoring in the second inning, when Drew Johnson hit a solo homer.

Appleton Legends evened things up at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. Isaac Gerhardt drove in one when he singled.

Appleton Legends pulled away for good with one run in the sixth inning.

BJ Chase pitched Appleton Legends to victory. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out two. Evan Sankey threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Nick Guzzo took the loss for Menasha Macs. He surrendered one run on two hits over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking one.
