SHEBOYGAN – Appleton was held to three hits in the North Eastern Wisconsin Baseball League loss Wednesday night.
Matt Baehman, Colten Schild and Evan Bohman all had singles for the only hits by the Legends.
The A’s scored the only run in the eighth inning. Jake Arens walked, then Harry Steldt followed with a double to put runners on second and third. Arens then scored on a sacrifice fly to left field by TD Walker.
Jack Mahoney pitched 6 1/3 innings for Appleton, allowing four hits and striking out eight. Chris Huettner pitched the final 1 2/3 innings and took the loss.
