MENASHA – Eric Hietpas hit a single in the bottom of the 10th inning to drive home Pierce Blohowiak with the winning run as the Macs beat the A’s at Koslo Park on Monday.

Ryan Hinske led off the 10th with a double and Blohowiak pinch-ran for Hinske. After two flyouts and a walk, Hietpas singled and Blohowiak raced home from second base with the winning run.

Brian Brown pitched the final three innings and allowed an unearned run to get the victory. Jack Taschner pitched the first seven innings, allowed three hits and struck out 10 for Menasha.

The Macs took a 1-0 lead in the seventh inning. Colin Englebert hit a one-out double and scored on a two-out single by Adam Grambow.

The A’s tied the game in the ninth inning. A single, a walk and an error loaded the bases, then Travis Slywka walked to force in a run.

The Macs play Wednesday at Marinette.
