Macs, Legends share league baseball title

The Menasha Macs beat Marinette 6-4 on Tuesday night at Koslo Park to earn a share of the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League title with the Appleton Legends.

MENASHA, WI – The Menasha Macs beat Marinette 6-4 on Tuesday night at Koslo Park to earn a share of the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League title with the Appleton Legends.

The Legends were 10-1 winners over the Green Bay Storm on Monday to clinch their share of the league title. The Macs and Legends both finished 14-5 in the league.

Appleton will be the No. 1 seed in the playoffs based on its 3-1 record against Menasha this season. The Legends will host the Storm Wednesday night, while the Macs will host the Sheboygan A’s.

Wednesday night’s winners will play Friday night in the league championship game.

The Macs (22-12 overall) used a six-run seventh inning to rally from a 3-0 deficit against Marinette. Emmett Kulick had a three-run double with two outs to put the Macs ahead 4-3. Mike Berben hit a sacrifice fly and Ryan Hinske drove in a run with a single.
