Appleton Legends hold off Menasha Macs

The Appleton Legends led themselves to a 7-6 victory over Menasha on Thursday in a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game.

APPLETON, WI- B.J. Chase got the win in relief and Dom Hillesheim and Kevin Kangas each had two hits to lead the Appleton Legends to a 7-6 victory over Menasha on Thursday in a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game.

The Legends trailed 4-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth, but erupted for five runs to take a 6-4 lead at USA Sports Complex.

Menasha answered with two runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game but Appleton (12-4, 6-3) responded with a solo run in the bottom of the sixth to take the final lead.

Ryan Hinske was 3-for-5 to lead Menasha with Emmitt Kulick collecting a solo home run.
