The Appleton Legends shut out the Manitowoc Bandits 10-0 on Monday in a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game at USA Youth Sports Complex.

APPLETON, WI – The Appleton Legends shut out the Manitowoc Bandits 10-0 on Monday in a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game at USA Youth Sports Complex.

B.J. Chase, Jake Stern and Reed Blake combined to allow three hits in the seven-inning game. They struck out 12 batters. Chase pitched four innings to get the victory.

Carl Valk drove in three runs for the Legends (10-3 overall, 4-2 NEWBL). He had a two-run single in the fifth inning.

Kevin Kangas added two RBI, while Trent Whitcomb was 3-for-5 for the Legends.
