APPLETON, WI – Four singles, three doubles and a triple led the Sheboygan A’s to a 7-5 win over the Appleton Legends Friday night. The A’s improve to 4-0 in the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League while the Legends fall to 0-1.

The Legends managed to keep the A’s scoreless until the third inning and tie the game in both the fourth and seventh inning.

Taylor Grimm hit a double in the top of the eighth inning, which started a scoring streak for the A’s. The A’s scored three runs in the inning making the score 7-4.

Eric Schmitz went six innings and John VanderPloeg went two holding the Legends. Weston Nelson finished the game and allowed one run.

Josh Moses had a pair of singles and a double on the night for the A’s.

The Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League is a top-tier, wooden bat, adult semi-professional baseball league located in northeastern Wisconsin. Players in the league are considered amateur status, are not paid and consist mostly of current college baseball players, as well as former college and professional players.
