NEWBL Announces Year End Awards

The Green Bay Storm dominated the top awards after leading the league with 17 wins.

Derek Klegin of Green Bay won the Most Valuable Player award, while Dante Wilmet earned Most Valuable Pitcher, Grant Frazor was Rookie of the Year and Adam Enwiya earned the Batting Champion award.

Paul Wilmet of Green Bay shared Manager of the Year honors with Menasha’s Jason Wierschke.

Wierschke and Eric Zuberbier made first-team all-league at pitcher for the Macs, while Menasha infielder Adam Grambow also made first team.

Outfielder Bryce Plate and utility player Dom Hillesheim of the Appleton Legends made the first team.

Infielders Zac Bayreuther of the Macs and Kevin Kangas of the Legends made the second team, along with utility player Sam Hawley of the Macs.

Legends pitcher Jason Malkowski and infielder Jordy Plamann were named honorable mention. Outfielder Ryan Hinske of the Macs also made honorable mention.
